Help! My Steering on my 25D has broke. It will not stay in place, it moves back and forth. It's like the thing that allowed it to tilt has broke. Yesterday it was 1 year old & I only have 115 hours. Anybody have any idea what to do???? Thanks,Robert

the small cylinder on the steering column has a blown seal.the one on my 1530 went out and shortly after that one on a 575 backhoe that a bussiness partner has went out.the dealer warrintied both with no problem.good luck
....

Hey Charlie Thanks - What's the best way to remove the cylinder? I see oil pumping out when I work the release lever.

I think the cylinder is going out on my TC29D steering. I've seen oil on the top of it & my steering wheel moves under pressure. ....

it ain't as easy as it looks.it's pinned at the top and the bottom with tappered pins.i think they drive from left to right.it should be covered under warrenty. ....

When I was at the NH dealer Monday, the new TC33d had the same problem. The dealer took delivery on that tractor last Fall. I was there to compare the 33 to a 40. I sure want one! ....

Still no clyinder. I guess they figure my TC will last me a life time and don't care if I ever come back or not. Don't buy from Chattanooga Tractor & Equipment. ....
